Whether it’s a casual drink watching sport with mates in the bar, a late-night gathering in the comfy lounge, a family get together in the bistro, or unwinding after work in the huge and leafy beer garden, we’ve got it covered.

The Golden Barley Hotel has been owned by a close-knit group of family and friends for over 25 years. As with the local area, there have been many changes at The Barley, but our ethos of brilliant beer, warm and friendly service and hands-on management has been a constant. Whether you’re a visitor to Sydney or you live around the corner, in our eyes, you’re a local. We are proud to be a part of the community we live and work in, and enjoy supporting local schools, sporting teams and charities.

We have been the managers of The Golden Barley and custodians of its good name since 2004. We live in the hotel and love nothing more than pouring a good beer and catching up with our customers. You’d be hard-put to come to the hotel and not find one of us around the bar.
